Why We're Hiking

Dear Family & Friends

We are hiking northern Spain's Camino de Santiago (500 miles/September) to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.  Our goal is $10,000.  We leave on August 29
th for the month of September.

We are hiking to raise money for life-saving research for all CF patients.  Please click this link to make a credit card donation (tax deductible) to  www.cff.org/LWC/dsp_DonationPage.cfm?idEvent=20668&idUser=392986. You can also donate by check … made out to CF and send to Steve/Sue Pence, 10 Deer Creek Ct., Fairfax, CA  94930 and we’ll forward the donation either before or after our trip.

We will be hiking 12-20 miles per day, with our backpacks, and staying in albergues and pensions.  This pilgrimage starts in the French Pyrenees and ends in Santiago de Compostela.  During this pilgrimage, we will have many opportunities to visit churches along the way and would enjoy adding any of your prayer requests to our list.

Thanks again for considering a donation to CF.

P.S. Cystic fibrosis is a devastating genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. More than ten million Americans are symptomless carries of the defective CF gene. Advances continue to be made in finding a cure, but your help is needed now - more than ever - to help keep the momentum of this life-saving research. To learn more about CF and the CF Foundation, visit www.cff.org.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those with cystic fibrosis. Thank you for supporting the mission of the CF Foundation!
